How to Qualify for the 2007 AAU
National Championships

AAU National championship bids may be obtained in a number of ways in South Carolina for the upcoming 2007 season. All teams must be in compliance with South Carolina AAU Baseball and National AAU Baseball Rules.

  1. Finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in the South Carolina Summer State Championships and receive the Gold, Silver, or Bronze seeds and represent our state at the National Championships. The actual number of teams receiving berths will be determined by the number of teams participating in the event. See Handbook for details.
  2. The additional seeds of 4th and 5th (and Possibly 6th) will be awarded by the number of points accumulated during the 2007 season. The teams with the most points will get these seeds. Again, number of teams participating will determine the number of berths.
  3. At Large Bids to the National Championships may be received as follows.
    • Play in six (6) South Carolina AAU Sanctioned Events during 2007 and receive an automatic berth to the National Championships. No other criteria except one event must be the Summer State Championship.
    • Qualifying via a top finish in last year's National Championship. These teams are listed on the National Baseball website.
    • Qualifying via a top finish in a NIT Event.
    • Qualifying via winning one of the Spring or Fall State Championship Events.

Remember, any and all teams who qualify for  National Championship participation are required to participate in South Carolina’s Summer District (State) Championship Event.
